There are two lakes at the heart of Brkini – Mola near the village of Soze and Klivnik below Tominje. The forests of Brkini check their looks in the reflecting waters, deer come here to drink and waterfowl call from their homes. The shores are perfect for a picnic and the lakes brim with fish, including trophy marble and rainbow trouts, carps, pikes and zanders.
