A barely-standing round tower is all that remains of the once mighty Podgrad Castle. In times of Johann Weikhard von Valvasor, it was a huge-walled complex, and in early 19^th century, the horseshoe-shaped mansion with a tower still stood strong. Little remains of it, yet the imposing ruins easily entice the imagination, and soon a stick you pick up looks like a medieval sword. En garde!
