The Church of St Peter dominates the skyline of Ilirska Bistrica. This medieval structure was rebuilt and renovated many times, retaining its Gothic presbyterium and buttresses, rectangular nave and bell tower. The interior was decorated by Tone Kralj. At the eastern wall, you can find a small mausoleum of the Žnideršič-Košomat family, which was made by master Plečnik.
