Pristine, unspoilt nature rules the forests of Mount Snežnik, the vast meadows of Volovja Reber and the deep, dark valley of Dleto, where the Reka river springs to life – you cannot find anything as spectacular anywhere else in Europe.

All the largest beasts of the Old Continent roam freely around these lands. Ancient forests, relics of the Ice Ages and a part of UNESCO Word Heritage cover the mountains. The karstic meadows and the botanical reserve at the top of Mount Snežnik are a refuge to endangered plants found nearly nowhere else. A gryphon vulture, a magnificent visitor from the islands of the Adriatic, circles high above and a giant paw print in the moss marks the tracks of this kingdom's true ruler – the brown bear. Deep caves, intermittent lakes, immense cliffs, waterfalls, streams and other wonders of nature await on every step of the way.
