A short but not very easy walk starts at the Ivanko Homestead, where you can get ready for a short but steep climb to the Prem Castle.

The castle that rules over Brkini and the Reka Valley was built in 1213. In the course of the following centuries, it had many owners. Among them the Walseeis, Hallers, Habsburgs and the Porcia Dukes. The compact, two-story residential part of the castle has a Romanesque nucleus and a smaller yard protected by walls.
