The Zalesje Partisan Hospital was in operation continuously from November 1943 to January 1945, with over 200 wounded and ill fighters treated in the most secluded part of Brkini. It consisted of hospital cabins, warehouses, hideouts, an operating theater and a kitchen. A hiking trail leads to the hospital.

Opening hours (July and August):

SAT.−SUN., holidays: 2.00 P.M.−5.00 P.M.

At 5.00 p.m. guided tour of the buildings of Zalesje Partizan Hospital (minimum 4 visitors).

Entrance fee: €3,00/person (free for children up to 5,99 years)

Ticket + guided tour of the buildings at 5 p.m.: €5.00/person (free for children up to 5,99 years)
