This is the pinnacle of the entire Ilirska Bistrica tour – one of the longest climbs in Slovenia! A nearly 20-kilometer-long road from Ilirska Bistrica climbs over 800 meters to the summit of Sviščaki at 1,242 meters – the starting point for the exploration of the Mount Snežnik massif.

The start of this exquisite climb is at the Dragotin Kette School. Turn right and right again, and then it's all up. Pass Črne Njive, the Ahac Trail and the Kozlek Trail. After some 10 kilometers, you will pass the magic elevation of 1,000 meters above sea level. Here, the road eases up and the ride with all the magnificent views will quickly make you forget the grueling climb you had to endure. Descend using the same road – it is tempting to let go, but please be careful as the road is quite busy, especially in the summer!
