The trail starts at the millstone on the roundabout next to the Mikoza shopping center. Take the road towards Jelšane. Once you reach the village of Koseze, turn towards Velika Bukovica. A demanding climb with a slope of some 12 % leads to the village. At the top, you should stop and enjoy the views of Mounts Nanos, Milanja and Goljaki!

A very demanding climb of some 100 meters leads to the village of Harije. Then, the trail descends through Dobropolje and Rečica towards Zarečje. Take the road leading to the Bubec agritourism and turn left  at the end of the descent. The trail now follows the Posrtvica creek into a secluded, shaded valley. Return to Ilirska Bistrica via Dobropolje and Zarečica.
